January 2014 - June 2014
These classes have all run now, but keep an eye on class pages at branches with Digital Hubs for new events.
Intro to 3D Design is an ongoing class that I'm teaching at the Toronto Reference Library as part of their Digital Innovation Hub.
Students learn the history of 3D printing, upcoming developments, and view example projects. After some basics are covered, I lead the class through three different methods of 3D modelling.
The three main software packages covered are Autodesk 123D Design, OpenSCAD, and Sculptris. Each one can be downloaded for free for further use at home.
