The first public class has already taken place, but I thought I should mention on here that I'm now teaching at the Toronto Reference Library in their Digital Innovation Hub.
The class is a monthly 2.5 hour session that teaches an overview of 3D printing, and how to do basic 3D modelling in three design tools.
Each of the design tools (Autodesk's 123D Design, OpenSCAD, and Sculptris) have wildly different methods of creation, to appeal to a variety of learning styles.
The library is also running a separate 3D Printer Certification Course that trains patrons to safely use the specific 3D printers in the Hub, which runs more frequently.
